Unqualified Dietitians

Today’s vent… I spend hours a day studying my butt off to ensure I know everything I can to not only complete my Dietitian Degree with skill and knowledge but to know as much as I can so that when I am qualified I am able to help every person I come across – no matter what their history, diet challenges or health issues… I, like hundreds/thousands of other Nutrition students every year, spend years and 1000’s of $$$$ to become qualified and knowledgeable enough to help others – MEANWHILE… there are people out there making millions of $$$$ without any studies or qualifications and with no idea on overweight issues as they have never been overweight in their life! Now you would never send your children to a school with unqualified teachers, you would never spend hundreds of $$ on a TV or computer without doing research and without warranty, you wouldn’t give your life savings to a bum on the street and hope they invest it wisely for you…. SO WHY PAY HUNDREDS OF $$$ TO SOMEONE THAT COULDN’T BE BOTHERED LEARNING THE NECESSARY SKILLS AND INFORMATION TO GUIDE YOU WITH YOUR HEALTHY LIFESTYLE – IF THEY CAN’T BE BOTHERED TO DO THAT FOR YOU – WHY WOULD YOU THINK YOUR BEST INTERESTS ARE WHAT THEY CARE ABOUT??????

Switching to a Foam Mattress

Filed under: Hardware,Industrial and Manufacturing — admin @ 4:31 am

Do you get up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day? Or does every morning find you apprehensive of rolling out of bed because you’ve become accustomed to minor aches and pains or you just feel like you didn’t sleep as well as you could have? If these scenarios sound familiar, you might be in need of a new mattress. Keep reading for one of the best alternatives.

Memory foam has turned a lot of heads in recent years. One of the main reasons is because it’s simply something new. For years people have only ever heard of or experienced spring coiled mattresses or some version thereof.

Foam mattresses provide something completely different though. Whether it’s a natural latex mattress or the memory foam variety, you’ll notice a change the moment you lie down. That’s because foam does a far superior job of disbursing your weight. This makes for not just more support, but better support. Springs that push back unevenly due to your weight being spread out the same way, can cause the kind of tension you feel when you awake. It can also make staying asleep difficult as your body naturally twists and turns to find relief.

If you can’t afford a standard queen memory foam mattress at the moment, try a foam sheets. They’re much thinner, but also more affordable, and will give you an idea of what you’re missing out on.

Keeping Your Bed Comfortable

Filed under: Hardware,Industrial and Manufacturing — admin @ 5:06 am

Is there anything better than a night of uninterrupted, refreshing sleep? As we get older and the responsibilities pile up, few things can make our day as much as ending it on a nice comfortable mattress. It’s a sad day, then, when we realize that our mattress just isn’t doing the trick anymore.

Fortunately, there’s never been a better time to be in the market for a new mattress. More than ever, technology is focused at helping make the eight hours we spend sleeping every night as comfortable and rewarding as possible.

Take mattress foam, for example. It used to be that just about any mattress you bought had the exact same feel. It was made from a combination of padding it metal springs. While this was the best you could hope for for a long time, it seems like manufacturers simply became comfortable with their ability to make you feel comfortable.

Luckily someone wizened up. Foam is far better than springs because it more evenly displaces your weight. It also doesn’t push back in the same harsh manner springs do. The result is waking up in the morning after a night spent with less twisting and turning. If you sleep on the road or just can’t afford a foam mattress at the moment, consider foam inserts. They’ll offer many of the same benefits at a far more affordable price.

Foam for Outdoors

Filed under: Hardware,Industrial and Manufacturing — admin @ 11:35 am

Being outdoors is great. In fact, many studies confirm it has actual health benefits, in terms of exposure to the sun and natural sounds. Of course, one great thing about the times we live in is that we can enjoy the outdoors with the help of modern day amenities. Think how difficult it would be to simply take in a beautiful afternoon if we didn’t have furniture to help. Thanks to these furnishings though, time outside doesn’t need to be spent without comfort.

Seat cushions play a major role here. Most of us would prefer not to simply sit on cold hard metal or rough wood, after all. So we put cushions over these materials to provide comfort and support.

Outdoor foam is what makes this possible. Without outdoor foam, our cushions would have no give, but they also wouldn’t be able to push back the right way either. Foam meant for the outdoors is different than the indoor variety though, in that it is designed to take on the elements without falling apart. Larger cells make it more water-resistant and it is made from antimicrobial materials so you don’t get any unwelcomed guests.

Despite how well-designed foam is for the outdoors, it’s still important to do your best to maintain it. Clean it regularly and, when the weather gets really bad, bring it in from the outdoors.

Two Mattress Upgrades to Consider

Filed under: Hardware,Industrial and Manufacturing — admin @ 10:25 am

Everyone needs a mattress a for a good night’s sleep. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a time when a mattress wasn’t the standard for going to bed at night. For most of us, though, the idea of a mattress has become quite old fashioned. We think of a box full of springs with a little added cushion on top. Thankfully, technology is catching up to the way we sleep and has provided us with much better choices. If you want to take your sleep to the next level, consider a different kind of mattress

For many the right best choice is a latex mattress. Canada has many options available, but they all have a few things in common. A latex mattress is extremely comfortable for one. It also breathes better than standard options. This makes it even more comfortable during summer months when you just want a nice, cool surface to lie on.

Another popular option is foam. Canada also has a wide variety to choose from in this variety as well. Foam provides a more consistent form of support as the entire mattress responds to your body’s unique weight and figure. As you move, the foam adjusts and moves with you.

Whether you ultimately decide on foam, latex or something else altogether, it’s worth exploring your options. You spend eight hours a day on top of your mattress, you might as well make them the best they can be.

Renting in a Car in the Cayman Islands

Filed under: Services — admin @ 2:07 pm

The Cayman Islands are renowned around the world for their beauty and have come to signify the ultimate vacation destination. However, if you want to make the most of your time there, most people would recommend Cayman Islands car rentals.

Even though the islands may seem relatively small, they are absolutely packed with tourist attractions. While islands do have public transportation and your hotel may offer shuttle service, it’s better to have the control over when you leave and where you go next.

Generally speaking, Cayman Islands car rental is very affordable. You will, however, need to plan accordingly. For one thing, car rentals are very popular. So the moment you book your flight and have a hotel room, you should call a rental service. During Christmas, Easter and other busy seasons, this is even more important as some rentals will be booked a year in advance.

You should also prepare yourself for driving on the other side of the road if you’re from the U.S. or other countries where they drive on the right. The steering wheels on rental cars will also be on the left. There’s not a whole lot you can do to practice. Just drive cautiously at first and remember that plenty of people before you have undergone the same challenge.

Though it may seem unnecessary now, you’ll be glad you rented a car during your Cayman Islands vacation.

Fresh and Warm Air for a Cozy Home

Filed under: Construction — admin @ 4:41 am

As the holidays come ever closer, the days grown shorter and the nights grow colder. We start firing up our heaters and furnaces, keeping our homes nice and toasty, making sure that everyone in the family doesn’t end the day with a case of the shivers. But as you fire up the heaters this year, you sometimes can’t help but smell a foul guest in the background, making your otherwise warm and toasty retreat, a funky mix of funny odor.

This time around, even before the chills come crashing in, be ready and replace your home’s furnace air filter to prevent dirt, dust, allergens, and the accompanying funny odor from coming in as well. By replacing your home’s heater filter you can reduce the amount of airborne pollutants in your home by up to 95 percent, as many new filters come with high efficiency substrates to filter out even the smallest of contaminants, ensuring your air is fresh and clean as you run your home’s furnace. Many replacement filters now come with electrostatically charged media, making filtration efficiency even better than that of multi-layer filter media, without the reduced airflow and bulk of many multi-layer filters. Upgrading is as easy as measuring your filter, ordering a new filter in the same size (often as easy as picking one from a list of sizes) and dropping the new one in. With this one simple change, not only will you enjoy fresher smelling air, but you will also enjoy cleaner, pollution free air for the holidays!

Smart Tips For Building a Layered Mattress

Filed under: Goods and Services — admin @ 6:35 pm

Possibly the greatest benefit to foam mattresses and toppers is the versatility they offer owners. Instead of the one-size-fits all approach traditional mattresses take, different types of foam offer customers the ability to mix and match materials to create a bed that not only is perfect for your sleep needs, but also fits within your budget.

This is done through mattress layering, where two, three, or even four foam materials of varying firmnesses and thicknesses are combined into the same mattress to create a hybrid feel that addresses an individual’s unique comfort and support requirements. This frees people to build a bed that meets their needs, whether they want a lofty, ultra-firm bed, or a low-profile, cloud-like mattress.

The most steadfast rule in foam bedding is to always have your firmest layers on the bottom of a build, and gradually get softer as you reach the comfort layer. You can have the same firmness throughout an entire bed if you choose, but a mattress’ ability to offer proper support is reduced when a firm layer is placed upon a softer base.

The other rule is to not utilize any foam layers less than 2”. Unless an individual is extremely light, foam cannot support the weight of an adult body with only two inches of thickness. Lastly, memory foam layers greater than 4” become unsupportive, as you can sink too deeply into the foam. Following these tips, you can build a custom foam mattress that’s perfect for you, and will last for years.
